Long-standing members of the McKinley Vintners’ portfolio, the Mann family have been vignerons in Alsace since 1793 and began to produce wines for themselves in 1948. The vineyards are located around the village of Wettolsheim and they have substantial holdings in the Grand Crus of Hengst and Steingrubler. The wines are sensitively produced, following principles of “viticulture raisonée” and reflecting the particular characteristics of each vintage. Organic methods are already practiced and the 2011 vintage will be the first to be certified as fully organic. These wines are some of the ‘quiet stars’ of our portfolio, consistently winning awards and praise from customers and journalists alike and if you are yet to try them, please ask your sales representative for samples. The Wunsch et Mann team produce an extensive range of Alsace varieties and although we are not able to list all of their wines here in the UK, the full range is available ex-cellars so please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to see their full list.
