Guy joined the wine trade at the tender age of 17 working for Berry Brothers & Rudd in St James. He lived in France working for Peter Sichel in Bordeaux, Hugel in Alsace and Moet et Chandon in Epernay where he took guided tours of the cellars (and famously overturned one of their trains – luckily it was empty!) He then spent a year in South Australia working with Hardys in Reynella before returning to London and joining McKinley Vintners Ltd, becoming a Director Shareholder in 2002. Guy lives with his family in Hampshire and outside work his interests include restoration of classic motorcycles and vintage cars as well as art – collecting it, not drawing - though he is a dab hand at DIY, having built most of his house from scratch!
