The Sorin-deFrance domaine is based in the village of Saint-Bris, on the right bank of the river Yonne. Named after Henri Sorin and his wife Madeleine de France, whose families have been wine-growers since 1577, the 35-hectare estate is now run by their sons, Christian and Jean-Michel.
In the only area of Burgundy where Sauvignon Blanc is permitted, the Sorin-de France family produces a delightful, crisp and herbaceous example that offers remarkable value for money and quality. As a recognition of the quality of their wines, the whole appellation has been promoted from VDQS to AOC.
