The Domaine Chofflet Valdenaire is located in the heart of the village of Russilly within a natural amphitheatre in the Givry appellation. The production focuses on both red and white wines with two premier crus.
Today the domaine is owned and managed by Denis and Edith Valdennaire. Denis a former downhill skier first became involved when he began to work along side his father-in-law in 1988. After training in Beaune he became more focused on the vineyards with a particular interest in soils. Today he is a member of the Groupement d’Etudes et de Suivi des Terroirs (GEST) an association of vignerons who seek to improve vine nourishment and replace chemicals with natural alternatives according to the needs of individual parcels.
