Exciting times lie ahead at this superb Mercurey domaine. Agnés Dewé de Launay has recently taken over management of the domaine from her father and is already making her mark. Her passion for the business is evident and illustrated by her detailed knowledge of each parcel in the vineyards and the brand new winery that she has built to ensure continued and improved quality. As time progresses we expect to see improvements to these already high quality wines.
The vineyards cover 20 hectares and are managed without the use of herbicides and with very sparing use of fertilisers. Very low yields, obtained by pruning very closely and de-budding, help to ensure that the domaine’s wines are particularly complex and long lived.
