Alain Roy’s Chateau is located on the outskirts of the village of Montagny-lès-Buxy and has 17 hectares of vineyard. Alain is energetic and passionate about the domaine, which has been in his family since the beginning of the 19th century.
All the estate’s wines are premier cru and unusually he only produces two wines the cuvée classique and the cuvés fut. The first is made entirely without the use of oak to give freshness and the other is aged in oak casks to give a more rounded, softer wine. He is lucky enough to have a large number of old vines in the vineyards which he places great importance on.
