Vincent Bitouzet considers himself a pragmatic vigneron, with an acute sense of reality and duty to his domaine and to his successor, his son. His dedication shines through in his wines, which are characterised by their individuality, elegance and pure flavours.

This family domaine has its roots in two of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious villages: Volnay and Meursault, with the main cellars in Volnay. The 12 hectares of vines include six Premier Crus and Villages holdings in Volnay, as well as Premier Crus and Villages sites in Meursault. The vines are tended without the use of chemical fertilisers; every year the winemaking is adapted to reflect the specific characteristics of each plot and to bring out these subtleties in each wine.

The reds are well structured, stylish and velvety, and age very well. Their consistency, even in lesser vintages, is both comforting and unusual.
